Brenda Burke, CPM, LM
I’ve been drawn to midwifery my whole life and began attending births in 1984, later training formally as a midwife from 1998–2002. Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of families at home and abroad, with experiences from rural Midwest homes to birth centers in Eastern Africa. I choose to practice as a traditional, community-centered midwife, offering care that is personal, flexible, and deeply rooted in gratitude.

Emily Stiner, CPM, LM
I began attending births with Willow River Midwifery as a birth assistant since 2021 and quickly grew into a apprentice midwife with WRM. My background includes a BSN from the University of Iowa, seven years of nursing, and a traditional midwifery apprenticeship completed in 2023. Since earning my CPM in 2024, I’ve been honored to provide compassionate, family-centered home birth care.
